Over the Years
The Calgren Story
2009
Began ethanol production, quickly becoming a leader in efficiency and low emissions.
2015
Launched California’s first biogas project, connecting a dairy to our ethanol plant to capture manure methane emissions and put them to use as biogas in the production of ethanol.
2019
First dairy cluster digester becomes operational. Started injecting RNG into the SoCalGas pipeline, contributing to cleaner transportation and energy solutions.
2020
Expanded our RNG facility to capture methane from over 75,000 cows, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Calgren’s biodiesel plant comes online.
2024
Began the initial phases of TCCSP and continued the expansion of the dairy digester cluster, placing nearly 1 million MMbtu of RNG into California transportation.
Looking To The Future
Calgren is committed to continuous innovation and sustainability. Future plans include exploring alternative feedstocks and expanding renewable energy production. If the outcome of the initial phases of the TCCSP project is favorable, the development of a permanent CO2 injection well will be targeted to begin construction in 2027, with operations starting by 2029.
